I tested the wireless Miracast projection/screen sharing from my Huawei Mate 20 Pro smartphone to the LG television with webOS 4.0. It seems to work. Also, it puts the Android 9 (“Pie”) OS into a special desktop mode, so it looks like Windows XP, or something like it. One can use the smartphone itself as a touchpad to input various actions to the big screen. This is all rather nice. On the other hand, this particular “desktop” is so limited and a bit slow, so that I cannot see many people (particularly those with a top-of-the-line smartphone and new smart tv) using it for anything serious.
